Capella university students have been forced to switch to the internet and login from their homes to get access to the university’s website.

Capella University said the decision to move students onto the internet was taken following the NSW Government’s decision to introduce a new licensing regime for colleges.
“The Capella community is deeply concerned about this issue, given the large number of students and students from the University of Sydney,” the university said in a statement.
“This is particularly relevant given the ongoing concerns around the impact of this licensing regime on the safety of students, staff and the campus community.”
The move is the latest in a string of online struggles for students.
Capello students had to switch from their personal computers to a computer from a different network to access the university site in May, when they were asked to use their own home networks.
The NSW Government last week introduced a licensing regime that requires universities to establish a network to manage access to their campuses, which includes the use of personal computers and mobile phones.
Under the new rules, colleges must establish a “shared network” for all of their students and staff to access their campus.
The rules apply to students, employees and their families.
But students and St Johns students said they had struggled to get onto the system since then.
“I don’t know why I am being asked to log in when I am just visiting the campus,” one student said.
“It’s not a good feeling.
It is hard to get used to.”
We are all on our own personal network, but we don’t get the access to campus services.
“Capellas students said many students did not know they were being asked by the university to log into the university network.”
There are a lot of people who do not know that they are being asked, so I don’t think it’s going to help us a lot,” another student said, adding that she was not sure what the new licensing process would look like.”
What I think is going to happen is they will make it harder for us to use our own network,” she said.
Canteen students have had trouble logging on to their own campus since April.
The university has been trying to change that and it is looking to make it easier for students to log online.””
We’ve had to change the network because we had a number of people on campus who didn’t have access to it,” a student at Capella said.
The university has been trying to change that and it is looking to make it easier for students to log online.
“If you want to be a student in Capella, you have to have access,” the school’s Vice President of Communications, Matt Rolfe, said.
