An Alabamian university is hiring a former sex offender to help it with its recruitment efforts.
The University of Alabama in Birmingham has been hiring for its post-graduate programs for at least three years.
The job posting, posted Monday, says the position is for an assistant professor of psychology.
The job is for a position in the field of sexual assault and the prevention of sexual violence at the undergraduate level, according to the university’s website.
A university spokeswoman said the position has not been filled.
In the last three years, the university has hired a total of 12 people for the positions.
The position is the second post-doctoral position for a former sexual predator.
In June, the University of Southern California hired a professor with a background in criminology.
