Claymont State University, a state university in south-west Tennessee, is on a mission to inspire its students to think differently, to be better.
It has a ‘S’, which stands for ‘safer’, and it is one of only a handful of US universities to achieve the designation.
Its motto is ‘the ‘S’.””
The school has been named ‘America’s Best University’ by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a prestigious US science organisation, and the Russell Sage Foundation, a leading US-based non-profit organisation.””
And I think that is the essence of Claymont: that we are a place where we are proud of our students, and where we encourage them to achieve excellence in their studies.”

“We want to educate our students in the way that’s most likely to be beneficial for their future success and wellbeing, and that’s to be a good citizen and to have the courage to speak up,” Williams said.
“Claymont is proud to be America’s best and to stand out as a leader in the global science community.”
Clayton has won the award three times before.
It was awarded in the past in the US, Australia and Japan.
The first award, in 2008, was for a yearlong course on the history of the US military.
Claymont has also been named the best school in the world for a number of reasons, including having the world’s best graduate-level programme in physics and chemistry, and being one of the best public schools in the country for its public school-based programme.
The second award in 2014, was awarded for a three-year programme in computer science and math.
The school’s alumni include Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
“Our alumni include many world-class leaders, including former President George W Bush, who founded the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the largest such centre in the United States,” Clayfield said.
“They also include some of the world, including many world leaders, who are well-respected for their leadership in their countries, including the current president of the United Kingdom, Theresa May.”
Claysmont has two degrees in mathematics and one in physics.
It also has a certificate in the arts and humanities, and a degree in education.
Students study subjects including history, philosophy, political science, international relations, economics, business and health science.
They also study mathematics, engineering and computer science.
Students are also given the opportunity to get involved in a variety of community activities, including volunteer work in their community or in other organisations.
“There are lots of ways to engage with the students,” Williams told Rte.
“One of the big ones is with the Claymont alumni.”
